Hans-Friedrich von Ploetz elected chairman...
On February 2 the advisory board of the Center for Global Politics convened for the first time. During this initial session, board members elected Hans-Friedrich von Ploetz to head the new consultative body. Von Ploetz is a renowned diplomat, who has held key posts within the German foreign office, including positions as permanent representative to the North Atlantic Council and most recently ambassador to Russia. The board he now leads will provide counsel in all of the CGP's programs and activities.
