A vastly populous country on the rise, a trade giant and an increasingly engaged global player, China poses intriguing questions to scholars and students of International Relations.

The metropolis of Guangzhou is a center of global commerce at the mouth of the Pearl River to the South China Sea. An academic hub since its ancient history, it is home to several of China's top universities including our cooperation partner Jinan University. The Cantonese language and its Yue dialects, as well as Cantonese opera and cuisine originated here.
